Dear Mr. Lynch:

Established in 1968, Breuners is an Arizona institution. When we received an offer to sell the land under our flagship store in Scottsdale, we decided to close down our entire company. The importance of this decision was reflected by the fact that “Furniture Today” ran the story of our closing on the front page of their May 7th edition.

The decision to close down a family business can be very difficult. The decision of how to close it successfully can be even more difficult. Since we had recently used the Lynch Sales Company to run what had been a very successful inventory reduction event, it was only natural that we first contacted Joe Connolly of Lynch Sales Company about running a going out of business sale.

Joe assured us that Lynch Sales Company would be able to run the event in a way that would maximize sales and profits and at the same time not damage our name in the community.

We asked Lynch Sales Company for the same head coordinator that had had handled our inventory reduction sale, Jim Schwark, and fortunately he was available. We had enjoyed working with Jim. He was hard working, dedicated and completely trustworthy.

The additional sales associates and furniture handlers that Jim provided us with fit in well with our existing staff and helped make the sale the tremendous success that it was.

We were also very pleased with the other sale coordinators that Lynch Sales Company provided. Since we had lost our store managers at two of our three stores, Doug Dowell and Steve Phalor had to manage those two stores as well as acting as sales coordinators. They made sure that their stores were staffed, deliveries got out, and that new merchandise was transferred in.

As we head into the last days of our sale, I am happy to say that the sale was every bit as successful as we had expected it would be. I would highly recommend the Lynch Sales Company to my friends in the home furnishings industry in need of a sale for inventory reduction, remodeling, relocating or for closing their stores.
